Designer (in collaboration with Felix Muller Studio).
Founded in 1920, the TNP is a theatre based near Lyon, France whose goal is to make quality entertainment accessible to the general public.
I was briefed to reimagine their brand identity after the theatre re-opened following a two-year renovation.
The contrast of old and new (old façade with modern interior) became the focus of the rebrand. The old Chaillot stamp logo from the 1950s was maintained and updated to enable variations depending on usage. The entire Chaillot font was digitised and juxtaposed with the contemporary, linear Gravur, the light and bold creating a hierarchy of emphasis.
Quotes from plays and texts of the season were used to create a rhythm in the programs and postcards. The colour palette draws from the French flag and evokes a notion of freedom within structure.
